laser-2Low-level laser therapy incorporates the same principles as traditional acupuncture but uses light waves instead of penetrating needles to stimulate the acupuncture points. It is non-invasive, drug-free, and pain-free. It is a great alternative for people who may be needle phobic and excellent for treating young children and infants. With most cells in the body responding to light it is extremely effective at boosting cellular function.

During treatment the laser is placed directly on acupuncture points and the light stimulates the associated meridians and cells of the body. The light recognizes the frequency of the muscles, cells and meridians, and adjusts accordingly to start the healing process.

2. Who will benefit?
Babies, Children and Adults

3. Is it safe to use? How do you know it’s not causing cancer or tissue damage?
To date, there has been no report of cell mutation as a result of low level laser in research articles published.

4. How many treatments does it take?
In most cases a minimum of six treatments is required however each patient is assessed independently during the initial consultation. Acute problems may be treated more frequently 1-2 times per week, while chronic conditions maybe weekly. Session times can range from 15 mins to 1 hour.

5. How long does it take to work and feel results?
Patients with acute inflammation can notice improvements after the first treatment while others it may require a few more sessions. The severity and duration of the illness will also impact the amount of sessions and results.
