Lotus Healing Arts offers a variety of healthcare services. Having foundations in both the western sciences and eastern healing philosophies, care provided for clients offers a balanced combination of both traditions. As such treatment draws on a range of practices from the time tested effectiveness of Chinese or Oriental medicine to that of modern manipulative techniques.

For over 20 years the mission of Lotus Healing Arts has included pursuing continuing education in many fields within the professional scope. With this has come a unique specialisation of skills that have led to Karen becoming a world leader within her area of expertise.
Karen is one of 14 worldwide instructors for Dragon Rises Seminars (www.dragonrises.org). Since 2003 she has been teaching Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis to students and practitioners of Oriental medicine in the north-eastern USA and since her relocation to Australia, Sydney and Melbourne. This system of pulse diagnosis has its origins with the Ding family physicians (a lineage of many generations from the Shanghai region) and was refined in the 20th century by Dr John Shen OMD and documented by Dr Leon Hammer MD.
Karen is currently undertaking research into this field at the PhD level. As coeditor she has published a book on Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis, authored articles in peer review journals and also presented at international Conferences.
