Ross began his education in health completing a Certificate of Massage in 1991 in Perth, Western Australia. He completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Acupuncture at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia in 1993. His degree was completed with a 12-month clinical trial and research paper, Traditional Chinese Medicine and People Living with HIV and AIDS, A Quality of Life Study. He became an accredited member of The Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia in 1993.
Ross established several private practice clinics in Australia and New York as well as running health facilities, programs in corporate offices, teaching massage for people working with HIV/AIDS and for laypersons. He worked in a large multidisciplinary medical facility, "New York Center for Pain Management" for two and a half years in New York.
Continuing education in the USA included Chinese Herbal Medicine, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and Contemporary Chinese Pulse diagnosis. Ross continued his study of Bowen Technique with attending over 100 hours of classes in the past 5 years. Ross was an instructor for the Bowen Technique Academy of Australia from 1997 to 2002 and previously taught Acupuncture theory at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, NY.
Although Ross has changed his focus to a different field of work he still plays an active role in the business administration of Lotus Healing Arts. His absence in the clinic has meant that all his clients are being treated by Karen. |
