Registered to practice acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and physiotherapy within Australia and the USA; Karen has completed PhD studies and is co-author of the book Handbook of Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis published by Eastland Press. She is 1 of 16 certified instructors for Dragon Rises Seminars providing education in Contemporary Chinese Pulse Diagnosis.
With her diverse registrations and expertise in pulse diagnosis, Karen treats a range of often complicated conditions with a combination of her skills. Karen also has lectured at Chinese medicine colleges, conducted research, authored publications, presented at international conferences and maintained her professional education.
Gaining much of her clinical experience while working and studying in the USA, she is trained in both Chinese medicine and Osteopathic manual medicine techniques that have their origins there and are less commonly practiced in Australia. Following 15 years based in New York City, Karen relocated Lotus Healing Arts to Sydney.
